Without elevates digital experience with UX and UI overhaul for member app and website

Strategic branding studio Without has helped bring the Third Space experience to life across digital platforms, with the launch of a new member app and redesigned acquisition website to support the ambitious growth of the London members’ club.

In 2015, Third Space’s digital strategy was lean and efficient, with a website for both prospects and members. Today, Third Space is flying and the brand needed a new digital strategy to match the growth in club numbers. By shifting the strategy to focus the website on acquisition (existing members didn’t need it) and the app on member experience (Third Space in your pocket), Without paved the way for a UX and UI overhaul, redesigning and elevating the digital platforms to match the standards set by the clubs and create a seamless, luxury Third Space experience.

The new, bespoke app features a streamlined and scrollable homepage to showcase the full Third Space offer, with moments of gamification introduced to celebrate and reward commitment. Members can now book PT sessions and buy guest passes, and workout areas have been optimised for in-club support and on-demand training. And everything is personalised to each member, with favourites and quick links to relevant classes and PTs.

The redesigned website focuses on acquisition, giving prospective members clear, quick-to-find content and call-to-action points to increase purchase, with expandable components and micro-animations for learning and engagement. Optimised for mobile with an intuitive UI system, the new website adopts a modular front-end design approach, with a powerful CMS to create new pages and content as the site evolves.

Jonathan Jarvis, Design Director, Without, said: “Third Space has grown from two to 14 members’ clubs in the years we’ve worked together, but the tech wasn’t keeping pace with their impressive growth. As brand guardians, Without crunched the data to optimise each digital experience for different user needs. We delivered a digital design system that unifies app and website to make sure future design work stays consistent and connected – and supports even more growth.”
